Scheduling Coordinator - Grand Rapids, MI
We are looking for a friendly, organized individual whose responsibilities include scheduling skilled real-time captioners to provide closed captioning of live TV broadcasts such as local and national news programs, specials and sporting events. Scheduling coordinators play a very important role in the real-time process to making sure we provide on time, quality captions. Scheduling coordinators are responsible for a variety of live operational and scheduling matters; including contacting and scheduling real-time captioners for live programming, preparing captioners for their shows, monitoring email, answering phone calls and providing phone support to the captioners and/or clients whenever there are technical difficulties.
Skills & Qualifications: Competent computer skills and must have working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the Internet. Must be highly organized & detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) and have the ability to multi-task and problem solve quickly.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for a total of 40 hours per week. Hourly Rate $12 to $13 per hour.

Caption Editor - Grand Rapids, MI
Closed Captioning Services, Inc. is seeking full-time closed captioners for day and swing shifts . Training will be provided. The ideal candidates should have a bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, TV or other related fields, as well as excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling, research, transcription and fast typing skills. Tests will be administered. The position is perfect for a computer-literate, meticulous, dependable, punctual individual who is able to work independently and has a strong interest and knowledge of television and pop culture. Must be available to work overtime when necessary, especially during the regular TV season. This position will be based out of our Grand Rapids facility and the starting salary is $9/hour with an increase to $10/hour after successful completion of introductory period.
